This year, Maspalomas Pride by Freedom is set to be more spectacular than ever! For 11 action-packed days, Plaza de Yumbo (the world’s most famous LGBTQ+ shopping center) will turn into the heart of diversity, welcoming over 100,000 visitors from all around the globe.
In the heart of Yumbo, you’ll find PRIDE PARK with its main stage, where you can enjoy live performances, spectacular shows, and themed parties EVERY NIGHT for FREE. The lineup is packed with activities: from pool parties to the big parade, plus cultural events and advocacy activities.

Program Highlights
Pride Parade (May 10th)
The highlight of the event: the big parade! It kicks off at Avenida de Tirajana on Saturday, May 10th at 4 PM and wraps up with an epic party at Plaza de Yumbo. Expect floats, music, dancing, and thousands of people celebrating love in all its forms.

IN THE MORNING:

IN THE AFTERNOON:
It’s time for the official pool parties! They kick off around 1 PM and are the perfect chance to meet new people and hit the dance floor. Just a heads up, you’ll need a ticket for these parties, but at Nests Hostels, we can help you score them (we even have some exclusive discounts!).
AT NIGHT:
From 9 PM onwards, PRIDE PARK comes alive:

We’ve got some exciting news to share! Nests Hostels and the sports club Guanxes LGTBI+ will be joining forces with our own float at the big Pride parade on Saturday, May 10th. And you’re all invited to join us!
Who are Guanxes LGTBI+?
Guanxes LGTBI+ is an amazing sports and community club based in Gran Canaria, created to offer a safe, inclusive, and discrimination-free space. Its community is made up of LGTBI+ folks and allies who share a passion for:
- Variety of sports: hiking, running, swimming, volleyball, paddle tennis, calisthenics…
- Personal development workshops
- Cultural Activities
- Board games
- Projects like the magazine Bentagay+
Their mission is to shine a light on and empower the community in the sports world, no matter your experience level!

- The epicenter: Centro Comercial Yumbo, the largest LGBTQ+ shopping mall in the world!
- Transport: Buses running throughout the event (1 hour – we’ll give you the schedule at reception)
- What to bring: Sunscreen, your outfit for the parade, swimwear for the pool parties, and tons of energy!
Insider tips from our staff for Pride 2025
Maria, our manager in Gran Canaria (and a veteran of 5 Maspalomas Prides), is sharing her top tips:
“If it’s your first time at Pride, don’t try to do it all. The lineup is huge, and you’ll need to take breaks. My top 3 must-see events are: the High Heel Race on Tuesday the 6th, the Sundance pool party on Friday the 9th with Soraya, and of course, the big parade on Saturday the 10th. For the pool parties, get there at least an hour before they start to snag a good spot. And if you can only make it for one weekend, make it the second one (May 9-11).”
