Loro Parque – An adventure for the whole family!
Loro Parque is one of the most important zoos in Europe and the world. It was created in 1972 as a park dedicated solely to parrots—that’s where it gets its name. Since then, this park has just kept growing, hosting loads of different species of flora and fauna.
Loro Parque is home to around 4,000 parrots from 350 different species. This makes it the largest and most important park in the world in this category. And of course, it’s still one of the biggest and most significant natural parks globally. As a fun fact, it also hosts the largest penguin exhibition in the world.
Every day, you can catch shows featuring dolphins, orcas, sea lions, and of course, parrots.
In short, it’s a must-visit park at least once in your life, and a great excuse to travel to Tenerife!
Loro Parque – What to see?
At Loro Parque, there are tons of attractions to check out before you kick back and wander around the park. Some of the must-see highlights include:
- AquaViva: A stunning underwater show that’ll take you deep into the ocean. Get ready to be amazed by the lights, jellyfish, sharks, and dozens of tropical fish. A magical world is waiting for you!
- Zen Garden: Ever seen a Zen garden? How about one that’s completely submerged?
Check out the only underwater garden in the world, and let the tranquility wash over you. - Orquidiario: A spot dedicated to the beautiful and delicate orchids. There are over two hundred species in Europe, so come and discover them at this exhibition!
- Kinderlandia: A place just for kids! Kinderlandia has all the space to run, climb, and explore nature while mom and dad grab a moment to chill.
- Planet Penguin: One of the best reproductions of a natural habitat for penguins. Hundreds of these adorable creatures are waiting for you!
Loro Parque – Tickets
Tickets for Loro Parque come in different formats to fit your needs. A standard ticket costs €37 for adults and €25 for kids. But hey, you can snag discounts if you live in the Canaries or if you buy two tickets together. If you’re a regular at nature parks, you might want to grab the annual pass: for just €99 (€66 for kids), you can visit the park as many times as you like for a whole year!
