Halloween in Tenerife 2026 falls on Saturday, October 31, and the island goes all in with a double celebration. On one side, the imported party: nightclubs, costumes, and a big concert in Santa Cruz. On the other, Noche de Finados, the traditional All Souls’ Eve, with roasted chestnuts and music in the squares. And Monday, November 2 is a public holiday in the Canary Islands.

Here’s the lowdown on the parties by area, the traditions, plans without a club, and how to get back safely in the early hours.

Halloween parties in southern Tenerife 🎃

The south is where all the clubs are, and every one with a date on it is clustered in Playa de las Américas. Two venues set the weekend: Papagayo, with two parties the same night, and Tramps, which stretches Halloween out three nights in a row.

If you’re staying longer, the rest of autumn is covered in our Tenerife 2026 festivals and events calendar.

Sala El Nido: The 15/15 Halloween

🛏️ Your base in the south for the Halloween weekend

Our two hostels in Costa Adeje are your southern base for nights in Playa de las Américas. These buttons book from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, with the dates already set.

Halloween in Santa Cruz and La Laguna 🎧

The capital has the weekend concert, and La Laguna gets two club parties. Three of the four events in this area are provisional: they have a ticket sales page, but no organizer or venue website backing them up yet.

Hijos de la Ruina: Natos y Waor y Recycled J

The Halloween concert is happening this year. Natos y Waor and Recycled J are bringing Hijos de la Ruina to the Palmetum parking lot, with a DJ from the moment doors open and more than six hours of music, according to the ticketing site. Local press is calling it their only date in the Canaries this year.

  • 📅 When: Saturday, October 31, 2026; doors open at 17:30 ⏰ Add it to your calendar: Google Apple / Outlook
  • 📍 Where: Palmetum Parking, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
  • 🎵 Music: rap
  • 🎭 What it is: a rap concert, organized by Mar Abierto Producciones
  • 🎟️ Tickets: general admission 55 € | Tomaticket
  • 🎤 Lineup: Natos y Waor, Recycled J, Kabasaki, DJ Jeatz y DJ Conjurer
  • 📌 Status: ✅ confirmed by the organizer, the Santa Cruz agenda and the ticket website
  • 💡 Tip: the DJs open the evening and the headliners’ times aren’t posted yet, so don’t rush. If you’re going with minors, the ticket page links to a permission form

BACKROOM Agüita x El Claustro (provisional)

Dark techno in Santa Cruz and the strictest door in this guide: the ticket page sells it as “Halloween & BDSM”. It’s provisional because that’s the only page that exists, and the poster has already changed once.

  • 📅 When: Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 23:59 to 05:30 ⏰ Add it to your calendar: Google Apple / Outlook
  • 📍 Where: Cooper Club, Av. Francisco la Roche, 41, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
  • 🎵 Music: dark techno
  • 🎭 What it is: dark techno at Club Aguita!; the ticket site tags it as LGBTQ+
  • 🎟️ Tickets: entry with one drink 15 € | Xceed
  • 🎤 Lineup: Mutual Punishment y Pshinji
  • 📌 Status: ⏳ provisional: there’s only one ticket sales page
  • 💡 Tip: 18+ only. The entry lists «Halloween Fetish Dresscode (Mandatory)» and «No cameras» — read this before you buy your ticket!

HALLOWEEN NIGHT PARTY at Aguere Cultural (provisional)

You’re DJing at Aguere Cultural in La Laguna. Don’t get mixed up with the title on the ticketing site, which says “in Santa Cruz de Tenerife”: that’s the province, and the address is Calle Herradores, 47.

  • 📅 When: Saturday, October 31, 2026; the time isn’t published yet ⏰ Add it to your calendar: Google Apple / Outlook
  • 📍 Where: Aguere Cultural, Calle Herradores, 47, La Laguna

  • 📅 When: Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 22:00 to 04:30 ⏰ Add it to your calendar: Google Apple / Outlook
  • 📍 Where: La Bowie, C. Elías Serra Rafols, 41, La Laguna
  • 🎵 Music: to be confirmed
  • 🎟️ Tickets: from 10 € | Tomaticket
  • 🎤 Lineup: DJ Kiki y Josh McClane
  • 📌 Status: ⏳ provisional: there’s only one ticket sales page

🛏️ Sleep in La Laguna on Halloween night

Aguere Nest is in La Laguna, the city of Aguere Cultural, La Bowie and the Teatro Leal, and linked to Santa Cruz by tram. This button books from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, with the dates already set.

Puerto de la Cruz and the north 🌋

Let’s be clear: as of October 12, the Puerto de la Cruz town hall hadn’t published a Halloween or Finados program. The dated festivities in the north are in San Juan de la Rambla and La Orotava, and they lean more toward laid-back afternoon vibes and country-estate parties than nightclubs.

HALLOWEEN 2026 at Hotel Rural Finca San Juan

Late-night party at a rural hotel in San Juan de la Rambla, with a costume contest announced. If you went last year, it’s the same party that was called “Tenerife Paradise” back then.

  • 📅 When: Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 18:00 to 02:00 ⏰ Add it to your calendar: Google Apple / Outlook
  • 📍 Where: Hotel Rural Finca San Juan, San Juan de la Rambla
  • 🎵 Music: 80s, 90s and 2000s hits
  • 🎟️ Tickets: entry with one drink €10; entry with four drinks €35; stay and brunch for two people €120 | Tiickets
  • 📌 Status: ✅ confirmed: the hotel and the ticket website have both announced it
  • 💡 Tip: drinks included with the entry don’t cover premium drinks

A Tardeo Tonto – Halloween (provisional)

Rooftop terrace bar crawl in La Orotava, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Check the door before you buy: minimum age is 21 and a dress code applies.

  • 📅 When: Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM ⏰ Add it to your calendar: Google Apple / Outlook
  • 📍 Where: Hacienda 1676, La Orotava
  • 🎵 Music: to be confirmed
  • 🎟️ Tickets: general admission €15 with a drink, entry from 19:00 to 20:30; late entry €20 with a drink, entry until 22:00; the €10 promo is sold out | Tomaticket
  • 📌 Status: ⏳ provisional: there’s only one ticket sales page
  • 💡 Tip: dress all in black or in a Halloween costume; you won’t get in without it. And if you arrive outside your entry time slot, you’ll pay the difference at the door, up to €25.

🛏️ Your base in the north: Puerto de la Cruz

Puerto Nest, in Puerto de la Cruz, is our northern base, and the 104 night bus connects it with La Laguna and Santa Cruz. This button books from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, with the dates already set.

Los Finados: the Canarian Halloween 🌰

Long before pumpkins showed up, the Canary Islands already celebrated the eve of All Souls’ Day: the Noche de Finados, which you’ll also see spelled “finaos”. It was, and in many villages still is, a night for getting together.

Graves were decorated with flowers, and the Ranchos or Cofradías de Ánimas would head out to collect alms. Families and neighbors gathered to share stories about their loved ones who had passed, with chestnuts, walnuts, almonds, figs and sweet wine, anise or honey rum, all to the sound of guitars, bandolas, tambourines and castanets.

Every area has its own traditions. In Garachico, Buenavista and Santiago del Teide, kids went from door to door asking for “Pan por Dios”; in San Juan de la Rambla, the newer name is “los Santitos”. The Museum of History and Anthropology of Tenerife tells the story, and local councils keep it alive today with programs like these:

El SauzalFAMTÁSTIC – All Souls’ Night: short films, an autumn tasting, the show «Voces de Las Ánimas» and a DJ setMonday, November 2, 7:00 PM, Teatro El Sauzal€25; special rate €18
Finados events happening in Tenerife for the weekend of October 31, 2026, checked on October 12, 2026.

A couple of things worth knowing. The El Rosario theater’s Friday show gives priority to residents, so as a visitor you might not get a seat. And the Don Juan Tenorio at Teatro Leal is a classic for this time of year: according to the theater, the company has been staging it for sixteen years in a row and it sells out fast.

As of October 12, several town councils hadn’t yet published their Finados or Halloween schedules, including La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, Adeje, Arona, and La Orotava. They usually announce these late, so we’ll update this page once they’re out.

Halloween plans without the club 👻

Halloween isn’t just about the dance floor. There are haunted houses built by young locals from every town, a trail with actors, a free afternoon in El Sauzal and, if you crash with us, a plan that doesn’t even require leaving the hostel.

Halloween Night at our hostels 🦇

On Saturday, October 31, our Tenerife hostels are throwing their own Halloween night. At 8:00 PM there’s a Halloween themed dinner at the hostel, followed by the Best Mask & Makeup Contest, with prizes for the winners. Come with your face painted.

Quiet hours at the hostel kick in at 23:00. If you’re still up for more, head out for a chill walk around the local bars, grab a few beers with the group and just chat. No pressure at all: everyone does their own thing at night.

  • 📅 When: Saturday, October 31, 2026; dinner kicks off at 20:00 ⏰ Add it to your calendar: Google Apple / Outlook
  • 📍 Where: at our hostels in Tenerife
  • 🎭 What it is: themed dinner, mask and makeup contest with prizes and, after 23:00, an optional stroll to the bars
  • 🏳️‍🌈 Vibe: LGBTQ+ friendly, just like all our hostels
  • 💡 Tip: ask the front desk at your hostel for details when you arrive

And which bars? That’s up to the group that night. If you want some ideas, here are the spots our team recommends in each area, plus a few more with recent reviews. We haven’t checked their hours for the 31st, so double-check with reception before you head out:

  • Costa Adeje: Bar Unique for cocktails; Coconut Bar for beer and cocktails; and The Bar, a chill spot specializing in Belgian beers. Want a club instead? Playa de las Américas is right next door, known as Tenerife’s “party capital.” Around Las Verónicas you’ll find loads of clubs and bars, most open all night. Our pick for the best electronic music clubs in south Tenerife: Papagayo Beach Club, Monkey Beach Club, Tramps Tenerife, Casablanca, and Achaman Discopub, just about five minutes from Duque Nest.
  • El Médano: Chirinstones; Manfreds Soul Cafe, for beers and cocktails; and Tasca el Lagar, for tapas.
  • Puerto Santiago (Los Gigantes): Bar Route 66, with live music, and Bagheera Bar, a small cocktail bar.
  • La Laguna: El Cuadrilátero, the area where lots of young, university-crowd bars cluster together. And there are some standouts, like El Rincón de Tintín, with beers, cocktails and live music, and Lagunita Country, with pool and darts.
  • Puerto de la Cruz: La Bodeguita, which everyone around here calls «el Futbolín», is super local and perfect for a drink; the terrace at Capsula hostel; Elements cocktail bar; La Guapa, with live music; and the bars around the harbor area. To keep the night going, Andana Beach Club and Quiosco, in Playa Jardín, are about a five-minute walk from Puerto Nest. Based on recent reviews, there’s also Blanco Bar, in a traditional Canarian house, with rock, darts, pool and a DJ dance floor; The Gramophone Bar, for beers and cocktails; and Bar Habasko – The Hidden Bar, small and cocktail-focused.

  • X Swimming Crossing Murallas del Infierno: Saturday, October 31, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, at Playa de Los Guíos, under the cliffs of Los Gigantes. You need to register to swim; to watch, just hit the beach.
  • Abubukaka, “20 years of Abubukaka”: Canarian humor in Spanish, Monday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 3 at 8:00 PM at Teatro Leal in La Laguna, with tickets priced at €36 and €20.

If you’re staying longer: the Isla Calavera Festival, featuring fantastic and horror films, is celebrating its tenth edition from November 6 to 15 in La Laguna, between Multicines Tenerife and the Teatro Leal galas. Christopher Lambert, Tom Berenger, Lloyd Kaufman, and Lone Fleming are coming; the full advance pass costs €100, and the program isn’t out yet.

Costumes, transport, and timing 💡

Costume and door: what each room requests

There’s no common rule, so check your venue. The dress code really matters at two parties: Un Tardeo Tonto requires you to wear all black or a costume, with a minimum age of 21, and BACKROOM has a mandatory fetish dress code.

In the south, things are more laid-back: Papagayo says “Come as you are” and AFROLAND says “Smart casual,” both with no costume rules and for ages 18 and up. If you want your effort to pay off, La Bowie is offering a prize for the best costume, Finca San Juan has a contest, and at our hostels, we’ve got the Best Mask & Makeup Contest waiting for you.

How to get back at night: bus and tram

TITSA has two night intercity lines, which their website lists as daily, and the tram between Santa Cruz and La Laguna runs through the early hours on Saturday and Sunday nights, as well as on holidays.

LineRecorridoNight Out
Guagua 711Santa Cruz – South Airport – Los Cristianos – Costa Adeje, about 1 hour 30 minutesFrom the Santa Cruz Interchange: 22:10, 22:40, 23:15, 0:10, 0:45, 1:50, 2:30, 3:20, and 4:00. From the Costa Adeje Station: 22:10, 22:40, 23:15, 0:10, 0:45, 1:50, 2:30, 3:20, 4:00, 5:55, and 6:25; it passes through Los Cristianos ten minutes later.
Guagua 104Santa Cruz – La Laguna – Puerto de la Cruz, about 1 hour 20 minutesFrom Santa Cruz: 10:55 PM, 11:55 PM, 1:05 AM, 2:15 AM, and 3:30 AM. From Puerto de la Cruz: 12:10 AM, 1:05 AM, 2:15 AM, 3:20 AM, 4:40 AM, and 5:25 AM.
Tram, Line 1Santa Cruz – La LagunaSaturdays: every 15 minutes from 10 PM to midnight and every 30 minutes from midnight to 6 AM. Sundays and holidays: every 30 minutes from 1 AM to 6 AM.
Night buses from TITSA and the tram at night in Tenerife, based on the schedules read on October 12, 2026.

Just a heads up! In Santa Cruz, early morning departures don’t leave from inside the Intercambiador: bus 711 heads out from the stop outside near the tram, and bus 104 leaves from the stop next to Los Juzgados. The 01:05 bus 104 from Santa Cruz and the 00:10 from Puerto de la Cruz have the note “To / From La Laguna”: make sure to check it on the website before you rely on them.

To plan your trip, Google Maps works really well in Tenerife and is pretty accurate for buses and the tram. Just be careful with holidays, like Sunday the 1st and Monday the 2nd of November—those days the schedules might change, so double-check before you head out.

And what’s missing: we haven’t found any night bus service for Los Gigantes, El Médano, or Las Eras, nor any official taxi rates for 2026. As of October 12, neither TITSA nor Metrotenerife had announced special Halloween services; they usually give last-minute updates about holiday changes, so make sure to check the schedule that week.

What’s the weather like at the end of October?

Mild on the coast and cooler up top. Here are the AEMET averages for 1981-2010: they’re not a forecast, but they’ll help you pack right.

AEMET StationOctober: high and lowNovember: high and lowRainy days in October
Santa Cruz de Tenerife26.3 °C and 20.3 °C24.1 °C and 18.4 °C3.1

Average maximum and minimum temperatures and rainy days in October and November at three stations in Tenerife (AEMET, normal values 1981-2010).

The northern station is about five degrees cooler than the other two, so it’s definitely a good idea to bring a hoodie if you’re heading up that way at night. And don’t forget, the time change is on Sunday, October 25: on the 31st in Santa Cruz, the sun sets at 6:20 PM.

Monday, November 2nd is a public holiday!

November 1, 2026, falls on a Sunday, and in the Canary Islands, the All Saints holiday is on Monday, November 2. This applies to Tenerife and the whole archipelago, so the Halloween weekend turns into a three-day getaway!

This Monday is a holiday in eight other regions as well: Andalucía, Aragón, Asturias, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Madrid, and Navarra. But not in the Balearic Islands. For shopping: Monday the 2nd is one of the holidays when general retail in Tenerife can open up.

Frequently Asked Questions about Halloween in Tenerife 2026 ❓

Is Halloween celebrated in Tenerife?
Yes. In 2026, it falls on Saturday, October 31, with Halloween events in Playa de las Américas, Santa Cruz, La Laguna and the north, plus haunted houses and free afternoon activities for all ages. It coexists with Noche de Finados, the Canarian tradition held on the eve of All Souls’ Day.
What Are Finados?
Finados Night is the eve of All Souls’ Day in the Canary Islands: a gathering of family and neighbors to remember their dead with stories, chestnuts, walnuts, almonds, figs and sweet wine, anise or honey rum. In 2026 there is a published program in Candelaria, El Rosario, Santa Cruz, Los Realejos and El Sauzal.
Where are the best Halloween parties, in the south or the north?
It depends on what you’re after: the clubs are in the south, and the big concert is in Santa Cruz. Playa de las Américas has Papagayo, Tramps and Monkey Beach Club; Santa Cruz has Hijos de la Ruina and La Laguna, two indoor party venues. The north leans towards laid-back afternoon parties and country-house gigs, in La Orotava and San Juan de la Rambla.
Is Monday, November 2, 2026 a public holiday in the Canary Islands?
Yes. Monday, November 2, 2026 is a public holiday in Tenerife and across the Canary Islands: November 1 falls on a Sunday, so the All Saints’ Day holiday is observed on Monday. It is also a holiday in eight other regions, including Madrid and Andalusia, but not in the Balearic Islands.
Do I need a costume? Is there a minimum age to get in?
It depends on the venue, as there’s no common rule. Papagayo, La 15/15, AFROLAND and BACKROOM are 18+, while Un Tardeo Tonto requires you to be 21. Costumes or all-black outfits are mandatory at Un Tardeo Tonto, and BACKROOM enforces a fetish dress code; Papagayo and AFROLAND don’t require costumes.
How do I get back at night: night bus, tram or taxi?
By night bus or tram, depending on the area. TITSA’s 711 connects Santa Cruz, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, and the 104 links Santa Cruz, La Laguna and Puerto de la Cruz, both with early-morning departures. The tram between Santa Cruz and La Laguna runs every 30 minutes all night on Saturday. We haven’t found official taxi fares for 2026.
What’s the weather like in Tenerife at the end of October?
Mild: AEMET’s October averages are 26.3 °C high and 20.3 °C low in Santa Cruz, and 26.8 °C and 20.0 °C at the south airport. At the north airport they drop to 22.5 °C and 15.2 °C. These are 1981-2010 averages, not a forecast.
Are there any free Halloween events?
Yes: 8 events on the calendar are free to attend. These include the Thursday 29th and Friday 30th nights at Tramps, the Noche de Finados in El Rosario, the Halloween afternoon in El Sauzal, and Los Realejos Misterioso. The haunted house in El Rosario is also free, but it asks for a food donation.
Where to stay in Tenerife on Halloween?
Wherever your plans take you: Costa Adeje for the southern clubs, La Laguna for the Santa Cruz concert and Finados, and Puerto de la Cruz for the north. We have hostels in all three areas, and there’s no minimum stay that weekend.
