Snorkeling and Canarian food in Puertito de Adeje with a sunset view of Teide

Full day

Discover one of the most beautiful spots for snorkeling in Tenerife, grab a bite at a local “Chiringuito” (tapas bar), and then catch an epic sunset at the stunning Teide National Park. I’m Andrea, and I’ll guide you, sharing the history along the way!

Puertito de Adeje Snorkelling place Tenerife

Hey there! I’m Andrea, and I’m here to welcome you to my routes around the island, where we’ll discover the most beautiful and typical spots in Tenerife! I’ve been exploring this magical island for six months, hunting for secret wonders and organizing over 50 amazing trips in that time! Let’s embark on a journey together to uncover the hidden corners of Tenerife! 🗾

We’ll kick things off with a visit to El puertito de Armenime, one of the best spots on the island for snorkeling (I’ll provide masks for everyone) and one of the most authentic places around, where you can easily see schools of fish swimming so close to your mask you can almost touch them, along with sea cucumbers, octopuses, and even turtles. 🐢😱 We’ll also grab lunch there 😋 at “bodegón Lola y Pepe,” a classic Canarian tapas bar right by the sea, where you can enjoy croquettes (cod croquettes), crab legs, octopus salad, and many other specialties (they have the best mojos, which are Canarian sauces!). Prices are cheap and the food is awesome! 🥘🦀🐟

Next up, we’ll head to Teide National Park, where we’ll stroll through various viewpoints, and I’ll share the surroundings and history of this majestic giant that’s home to Tenerife. Saving the best for last, we’ll catch the sunset 🌄 and have a picnic 🍞🧀🥓 at one of the most spectacular spots on the island, El Mirador de Samara! 👁️👁️

Located next to the Teide National Park, it’s one of the most impressive tourist points and super easy to reach, just a 15-minute walk! Comfortable shoes (sneakers 👟 are fine), a warm sweater, jacket, and long pants are recommended since it gets chilly fast at 2000 meters!

We’ll be sitting on the edge of the island, right above the crater of the last eruption, where on clear days, you can see the islands of La Gomera, Las Palmas, and El Hierro as we enjoy our picnic and watch the sun go down. Down behind La Gomera! 🗾
