On May 30th, the Canary Islands celebrate their official day! It’s a time when the Canarian people honor the first session of their regional Parliament, which was set up in the Autonomy Statute of 1982, under the Constitution of 1978. It’s a great day to experience the local culture and spirit!
Since 1984, we’ve been celebrating the Day of the Canaries, which brings together the shared identity of the eight islands and highlights the value of “being Canarian.” It’s a time to embrace everything that makes these islands special!
