1) Participants
The contest is open to anyone, whether you’re a photography enthusiast or a pro, from any nationality; except for the people organizing it, the jury, and their immediate family members.
2) Theme
The theme covers the whole island of Tenerife, so feel free to include landscapes,
images of flora or fauna, marine life, and street photography. You can submit up to three digital photos,
using any technique, in both color and black and white. They should be taken between 2022 and the first half of April this
year.
3) Prizes
First prize: One night at Duque Nest Hostel in Costa Adeje, Tenerife, with an included excursion. Plus a large display of your work at a photography exhibition taking place in June at Duque Nest Hostel.
Second and Third prizes: Large display of your work at a photography exhibition held at Duque Nest Hostel.
4) Image Submission
You can submit your entries via email to
capturasdetenerife@gmail.com, with the subject line: Photography Contest: Capturas de Tenerife.
Please send your photos as individual files in JPG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Make sure your photo isn’t compressed and is between
3 and 8 Mb in size.
In the body of the email, include the following details:
Title of the photographs
Full name of the photographer
Email and contact phone number
5) Contest Dates
Submission deadline: May 27, 2023
Winners announcement: May 31, 2023
Exhibition of works: June 3, 2023
6) Intellectual Property Rights
The participant declares to the organization that they are the sole owner of the copyright for the submitted photographs and takes responsibility for any claims regarding image rights of the
people or properties appearing in their photographs.
By entering the photo contest, the authors of the finalist photographs grant Duque
Nest Hostel a non-exclusive right to reproduce, publish, exhibit, and communicate to the public by
any means the selected photographs, for the purpose of holding the exhibition, and
for promotional and outreach purposes always related to the contest and citing their authorship.
For any other use that may arise outside the contest, or by
third parties, the organization will contact the author of the photographic work
to agree on the terms of their use.
