When is the Carnival of Tenerife 2025? 📅

From January 31 to March 9, 2025, the island is transformed into a continuous party paradise. The key dates are:

  • January 31 (Friday): Inauguration of the Carnival.
  • February 8 (Saturday): Gala Election of the Carnival Queen.
  • February 15 (Saturday): Great Announcing Cavalcade.
  • February 18 (Tuesday): Coso Apoteosis (the main parade).
  • February 19 (Wednesday): Burial of the Sardine.
  • March 7 (Friday), 8 (Saturday) and 9 (Sunday): End of the party with the Last Carnival.

1. The Election of the Carnival Queen

Saturday, February 8 📅 Stunning dresses and mind-blowing performances in a night full of glamour and excitement - it's like the red carpet at carnivals!

2. Apotheosis Parade of the Coso

Tuesday, February 18 📅 The big parade through the streets of Santa Cruz. Dancers, floats and comparsas dazzle with their bright costumes and overflowing energy.

3. The Burial of the Sardine

Wednesday, February 19 📅 An event as strange as it is funny. A giant sardine is buried in a ceremony loaded with humor and satire.

4. Street Parties

Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 March 📅 The streets turn into open-air discos with live music, DJs and dancing until dawn - get ready for unforgettable nights!
