Surf Classes in Gran Canaria with Buen Surf School

🏄 Buen Surf School has been offering surf lessons in Las Palmas since 2016, just a minute from La Cicer beach, and they’ve got a deal for you: a 20% discount on everything. That includes lessons and gear rentals.

Lessons last 2 hours, with certified instructors and a maximum of 6 people per group, so you’ll get personal attention, not just some big group. They have beginner and intermediate level groups, plus private lessons if you want to go at your own pace. The public rate is €40 for a group lesson and €75 for a private session: you pay 20% less.

You get board, wetsuit, and rash guard included, and the school has changing rooms, private lockers, and hot showers, which are super nice after being in the water.

Just want the gear? That’s included in the discount too. Rentals start at €20 for the wetsuit and €25 for the soft top board, up to €35 for the longboard, and they’ll hold a €300 deposit at reception while you have it.

How do I get the 20% discount?

Just say you're staying at Nest Hostels when you book with Javier. That's the only condition, and if you don’t mention it, you'll get charged the regular rate. The discount also applies to lessons and equipment rentals.

Do I need to know how to surf?

Nope! There are beginner and intermediate groups, and if you’ve never been on a board, you'll start with the basics. If you’re already comfortable, the class will adapt to what you want to work on. Private lessons are also available.

How long is a class and how many people are there?

Classes last two hours, with a maximum of 6 people per class, taught by certified instructors. The public rate is €40 for group classes and €75 for private ones, and you get a 20% discount on that.

What’s included in the class?

You'll get a surfboard, wetsuit, and rash guard. At the school, you’ll also find changing rooms, a private locker, and a shower.

How much does it cost to rent equipment on my own?

Public rates per day are about €25 for a soft board, €30 for a hard board, €35 for a longboard, and €20 for a wetsuit, with half days and extra days available at lower rates. Your 20% discount applies here too. They’ll hold a €300 deposit at reception while you have the gear.

It's at Calle Covadonga 25, 35010 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, just a minute from La Cicer beach. They’re open every day from 9:00 to 21:00 and speak Spanish and English.

Does the 20% apply to the 4-class packs too?

The 20% is confirmed for single classes and equipment rentals. The 4-class packs are at the school’s public rate and already include 4 days of rentals, so just ask Javier if he can apply the discount when you book.
