The Cathedral of La Laguna is a historical monument located in Santa Cruz-La Laguna and was built by the will of Alonso Fernández de Lugo.
The Cathedral was built in 1515 and was later enlarged and restored and in 2014 was reopened for worship.

Also known as Catedral de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, it is one of the most emblematic places in the city. This magnificent cathedral built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries presents an impressive architecture with Gothic and neoclassical influences. Inside, you can admire beautiful works of religious art and enjoy a spiritual and peaceful atmosphere.
Inside this church there are many important works and the relics of the martyr saints Aurelio de Córdoba, Faustino, Venusto and Amado de Nusco are preserved, but especially those of Pedro de San José de Bethencourt and José de Anchieta.
The greatest treasure of the cathedral is the Genoa marble pulpit by Pasquale Bocciardo.
