## About Nests Hostels

Nests Hostels is an independent hostel group operating 14 properties on three Spanish islands: Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Ibiza. It is not a franchise chain of a larger brand, and it is not a hotel group — every property is a hostel offering shared dorm beds, and most also offer private rooms.

The brand is written both "Nests Hostels" and "Nest Hostels"; both refer to the same company. Individual properties are named after their location plus the word Nest — "Duque Nest", "Aguere Nest", "Arena Nest" — or with a connector, as in "Pura Vida by Nest" and "Cisne by Nest". The two Ibiza properties are sometimes referred to by their older names, "Hostal Flamingo" and "Hostal Cisne".

The company describes its guests as travellers roughly 18 to 35: backpackers, solo travellers, surfers, island hoppers and digital nomads. It reports more than nine years of operation and more than 20,000 travellers hosted in 2025.

Islands are positioned as: Tenerife — nature and surf; Gran Canaria — city and beach; Ibiza — nightlife and lifestyle.

## Booking and policies

- **Booking direct.** All properties are bookable through the group's own Cloudbeds engine at https://nestshostels.cloudbeds.com/, and each hostel page has its own booking link. Properties are also listed on Booking.com, Hostelworld and TripAdvisor.
- **Cancellation.** Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in — that is, two days before arrival. Full policy: https://nestshostels.com/faq/cancellation-nests-hostels/
- **Check-in and check-out.** Check-in from 14:00, check-out by 11:00. Earlier arrivals and later departures can usually be accommodated on request.
- **Minimum age.** You must be at least 18 to book a bed in a shared dorm or a private room.
- **Deposits.** Not normally required. If one applies to a specific room type or a group booking, the hostel says so before arrival.
- **Bed linen and towels.** Bed linen is always included and the bed is made on arrival. Towels can be rented at reception, or guests bring their own.
- **Luggage storage.** Free on arrival and departure days.
- **Parking.** Varies by property; the hostel advises on nearby options.
- **Enquiries.** 10:00 to 20:00. Phone bookings, last-minute requests and volunteering enquiries all go through the contact page.

## Nest Pass

One booking that covers several hostels, aimed at travellers who want to move around the islands rather than stay in one place.

- **Price.** €140 for 7 nights, which is €20 per night. Additional nights are also €20.
- **Coverage.** 11 hostels — 8 in Tenerife and 3 in Gran Canaria.
- **Validity.** Three months from the day of booking to use the nights.
- **Switching.** Move between any of the covered hostels. Switches depend on bed availability at the destination, so reception needs advance notice, particularly in peak season (November to March).
- **Room type.** Shared dorm beds only. Private rooms are not covered.
- **Refunds.** Non-refundable, but transferable — the pass can be passed on to someone else.
- **Not included.** The two Ibiza hostels are excluded. Ibiza is booked directly.
- **Saving.** The company states savings of up to 30% against booking the same nights individually.

**Hostels covered by the Nest Pass (11):** Duque Nest, Médano Nest, Ashavana Nest, Los Amigos Nest, Las Eras Nest, Arena Nest, Aguere Nest and Puerto Nest in Tenerife; Las Palmas Nest, La Isleta Nest and Pura Vida by Nest in Gran Canaria.

Note that Adeje Nest, the newest Tenerife property, is not currently on the Nest Pass roster, and neither Ibiza property is.

## Nest Long Stay

A monthly rate for staying put in one hostel, aimed at remote workers, seasonal workers and people spending a winter on the islands.

- **Duration.** 30 nights in a single hostel.
- **Price.** From €400 per month, by location. Rates quoted are low season, May to October.
- **What is included.** WiFi, coworking space, kitchen access and the hostel community. No contract, no deposit, no utility bills.
- **Payment.** Month by month. No large upfront commitment; extend at the end of the month if you want to.
- **Room type.** Shared dorm beds only.
- **Moving between hostels.** Not included — Long Stay is for one hostel. Use the Nest Pass to move around.
- **Transferable.** No.
- **Not included.** The two Ibiza hostels.

## Ibiza

The two Ibiza properties sit outside both the Nest Pass and the Long Stay programme and are booked directly.

Ibiza's club season runs roughly May to early October, with the closing parties concentrated in late September and early October.

Most hostels run a weekly rhythm of free or low-cost events, which is the main way solo travellers meet people.

**What time are check-in and check-out?**
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is until 11:00. If you arrive earlier or leave later, message the hostel and they will try to help.

**Are towels and bed linen included?**
Bed linen is always included and your bed is made on arrival. Towels can be rented at reception, or bring your own.

**Is there a minimum age to stay?**
You must be at least 18 to book a bed in a shared dorm or a private room.

**Do I need to pay a deposit?**
Not usually. If a deposit applies to a specific room type or a group booking, the hostel tells you before you arrive.

**Does the Nest Pass work in Ibiza?**
No. The Nest Pass and the Long Stay programme cover Tenerife and Gran Canaria only. The two Ibiza hostels are booked directly.

**Can I move between hostels on a Long Stay?**
No. Long Stay is 30 nights in one hostel. The Nest Pass is the product for moving between hostels.

**Is the Nest Pass refundable?**
No, but it is transferable — you can pass it to someone else.
