It\u2019s a gradual trek for hiking lovers through an impressive volcanic landscape. You\u2019ll see remnants of volcanic magma and the emergence of young Canarian vegetation along the way.\n\nIt\u2019s as special as it is exclusive, perfect for the most adventurous and demanding who want to push their limits. You\u2019ll kick off with Hugo from the Puerto Nest Hostel in our Nest van. We\u2019ll walk for an hour to the base of Teide, located at Monta\u00f1a Blanca, at 2,348 meters. There, you\u2019ll soak in the beautiful views of the caldera and the Teide eggs.\n\nAfter about fifteen minutes of rest to snack on nuts and fruit, we\u2019ll hike for another hour and a half to the Altavista refuge. This is the toughest stretch, covering two and a half kilometers among black lava formations, with a climb of 544 meters! It\u2019s an intense way to start the day, with a steepness of 60%.\n\nAnd as the saying goes, \u2018If you want something, you\u2019ve got to work for it,\u2019 because not everyone can rise to the majesty of Teide. It treats us to a change in volcanic flora as we ascend.\n\nBut you\u2019re in luck, because as many say, Hugo makes the experience unforgettable<\/strong>. As a good explorer, he takes care of everyone with his motivating and fun spirit, even bringing a delicious picnic for all!\n\nAnd now, we\u2019ve made our first stop to recharge. It\u2019s time to ascend for another two and a half hours to La Rambleta at 3,555 meters. This is where the cable car reaches for those who prefer a comfy ride up. At this height, you\u2019ll want to make sure you\u2019re bundled up.\n\nWe\u2019re at the most epic moment, the moment to crown the summit. Legs might be tired, but the group stays strong in reaching their goal. This last stage takes about an hour to climb 163 meters to the 3,718 meters of Teide, the third highest volcano in the world.\n\nIt\u2019s up here that your hopes soar, and you appreciate the immense challenge you\u2019ve overcome. A feat rewarded with wonderful and truly special views of the Teide volcano.\n\nSo how do we get down?\n\nAfter such an achievement, it\u2019s time to descend, but not before making a stop at the Altavista refuge. We\u2019ll retrace our steps for a two and a half hour descent.
